Rakat
Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 5, 2026
Overview
Rakat is an Islamic companion app and website. This policy explains what information Rakat uses, why it is used, and the choices you have. We do not sell personal information.
Location Information
Rakat uses your selected or current location to calculate prayer times, sunrise and sunset information, prohibited prayer times, and Qibla direction. If you choose the default location, Rakat uses Dhaka, Bangladesh.
On the mobile app, the last selected location may be stored on your device so the app can show prayer times without asking for location access every time it opens.
Prayer Notifications
If you enable prayer notifications, Rakat schedules reminders on your device at the selected prayer times. Notification settings are stored locally on your device.
Local Storage and Cache
Rakat may store app settings, theme preference, selected location, cached prayer times, and notification preferences locally. This helps the app load faster and continue working smoothly.
Third-Party Services
Rakat may use third-party services to provide prayer-time calculations and basic website analytics. These services may process technical information such as request data, approximate location inputs, device/browser information, and usage events according to their own policies.
Your Choices
You can change location and notification permissions from your device settings. You can also select the default location in the app instead of using your current location. Uninstalling the app removes locally stored app data from your device.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when app features or data practices change. Updates will be published on this page with a new Last updated date.
